Nurse Teri’s Blog: Finish Line Insight
It’s the final week of my challenge and it’s time to put your engines into full gear. See what I have to say for the final week of my challenge!
Hello Everyone!
Really try hard this week to go the extra mile, literally!
We’ve all done so great these past two months so I hope you don’t stop now. Exercise is truly the best medicine to prevent and reduce your risks for various health conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol (LDL), obesity, arthritis, diabetes, breast and colon cancer, osteoporosis, and depression. AND it does all this while improving your strength, balance, mood, and overall health. Not to mention, when you exercise, it’s not about anyone else - it’s completely, 100% about you and taking care of your health.
I guess you could say exercise is that magic pill everyone is always searching for to cure their health problems. In that case, remember, exercise is best taken with plenty of water!
Good luck and keep moving everybody!
Challenge Reminder
This is the last week to get off the couch and have your exercise minutes count toward the Wii and Wii Fit drawing on April 6th. If you’ve fallen behind on your exercise routine, I suggest staying an extra 20 minutes at the gym this week to walk on the treadmill or you can ride a bike around the neighborhood. Whatever you do, just remember that the last day to report your exercise minutes is Monday, March 30th by 5 p.m. EST. You can report your minutes easily on the Tracker in your Prevention Plan by clicking on My Activities, then Challenges to enter your total minutes for the week.
