Father-To-Be Wins $1000
“Since my wife and I are having a baby, the first thing that went through my mind was diapers,” recalled Kenneth King, a Freeman Health System Patient Care Advocate of Joplin, Missouri, and recent winner of $1000 from The Prevention Plan.
“At first I thought the message was a hoax, but then I called the number back and was very shocked to find out I had won,” Kenneth excitedly admitted.
After verifying with The Prevention Plan that he won $1000, he immediately called his wife.
“I broke the news of the winnings to her by asking her if we needed to buy the baby anything with the prize money. She was very excited,” he said.
“This money is extremely helpful because I will be able to focus more on completing my master’s degree in business administration and health care,” Kenneth added.
Kenneth learned about The Prevention Plan through his employer, who offered the program as part of his benefits. He was not required to join, but was interested in the various tools and services that the plan offered.
“I saw that it was a great program to help create motivation for a healthier lifestyle through the use of educational tools, communication tools, and incentive programs that would help us to live healthier.” Kenneth said.
Kenneth understands the importance of taking an active roll in preventing and managing his health risks and sees The Prevention Plan as a helpful tool to gaining more good years with his growing family.
“I really enjoy how The Prevention Plan outlines specific areas of risk and gives ways to help lower or prevent future health issues that may arise from these risks,” Kenneth said.
As a member of The Prevention Plan, Kenneth was automatically entered into The Prevention Plan’s cash-giveaway drawings valued at $16,000.
Kenneth added, “This was just a great surprise to know that the only requirement for winning was to join the plan and follow a few simple instructions. Who would have thought that getting or staying healthy can win you such a prize?”
