5K Shopping Spree
The Prevention Plan recently surprised one lucky member on Christmas Day with the perfect holiday gift: a $5000 shopping spree.
Linda Neustel, a laboratory supervisor for Freeman Neosho Hospital, a part of Freeman Health Systems in Missouri, was shocked to find out she was the lucky winner.
“It was hard to believe and did not seem real!” Linda said.
Linda received a message from The Prevention Plan letting her know that she had good news waiting for her. With a suspicious feeling that she may have won, she and a coworker signed on to The Prevention Plan website and confirmed the exciting news.
“A coworker had signed on to The Prevention Plan website on Christmas Day while I was at work and saw the announcement. She immediately told me that I had won,” she said.
The Prevention Plan gave away a $5000 shopping spree as part of a fun promotion to encourage enrollment and participation in the national health improvement program.
“Having the access to information for a variety of health topics is important to me,” Linda said about The Prevention Plan. “I am very sure this approach is the best recourse to a healthy life.”
Although Linda has always been relatively healthy with no major health conditions to manage, she admits that maintaining her good health has been more challenging these past few years.
“At 61, I am an older employee and have found that it is increasingly more difficult to maintain a good weight and follow healthy practices. My main health goals are to lose some weight along with exercising more to help lower my cholesterol, which has gone up in the last year,” Linda commented.
She plans to use The Prevention Plan to monitor her progress and record all her health maintenance activities.
As for Linda’s plans for the $5000, “I am leaning toward a vacation, but have no firm destination yet.”
