Prevention Plan Member Wins Big!

Beth Blackmore receives 500 gallons of gas

The Prevention Plan really does pay. One lucky member, a Freeman Health System employee in Joplin, Mo., won with 500 gallons of gas as part of a special promotion to encourage enrollment. 

Beth Blackmore, a human resources benefits representative, screamed with excitement as she was told the news, “Are you serious? I never win anything.”  

Blackmore -- along with 1,200 Freeman Health System employees thus far – have registered and scheduled blood work in The Prevention Plan, making her eligible for the gas drawing.

“I’m very excited about becoming a member,” Blackmore said. “I think it’s a great tool to help keep me healthy, especially since I have a family history of diabetes.” 

As a member of The Prevention Plan, Blackmore is looking forward to receiving an assessment of her health status and top health risks through comprehensive blood work, biometrics, health history and a physician review. After that come the interventions to tackle her health risks.

When asked how she plans to use the gas, Blackmore replied, “I travel 40 miles to work, one-way. I know exactly how to put that gas to good use.”
