Christopher Fey Takes Part in Inaugural Wall Street Journal CEO Council Meeting
U.S. Preventive Medicine®, Chairman and CEO Christopher Fey participated in the inaugural Wall Street Journal CEO Council meeting held in Washington, DC, November 17-18, 2008.
Fey was one of more than 100 global business leaders and CEOs, U.S. Senators and members of Congress who participated in an unprecedented discussion of four urgent issues: finance and the U.S. economy, energy and the environment, health care, and America’s role in the global economy.
Also attending was top government officials, including the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson Jr. and former Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers.
Fey also participated along with 20 other experts, in a special session focused exclusively on health care. Facilitated by Laura Landro, assistant managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, the health care task force debated and framed the priorities, risks, and opportunities facing the new administration.
The Journal’s CEO Council identified what it believes are the most urgent priorities for the incoming administration. Those conclusions were released in a Wall Street Journal special report on November 24, 2008.
