The Prevention Plan Participates in Major Health Promotion Pilot Test
U.S. Preventive Medicine has completed its participation in a major pilot project with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). For the test, NCQA used The Prevention Plan™ to test a new set of NCQA standards for wellness and health promotion programs.
U.S. Preventive Medicine is one of 12 companies who volunteered to participate in a pilot program with the NCQA, which is developing standards for the certification of organizations that provide wellness and health promotion services.
“We are very excited and pleased that U.S. Preventive Medicine could participate in this extremely important project,” said Christopher Fey, CEO and Chairman of U.S. Preventive Medicine. “At a time when a growing number of employers are offering their workers an assortment of programs to help them better manage their health, working with one of the most respected health care quality organizations in the country to refine new NCQA standards for health promotion programs represents an important step toward our future growth and success.”
