The Prevention Plan National Launch Just Weeks Away
Having wrapped up a highly successful pre-release program this spring, U.S. Preventive Medicine is just a couple of weeks away from selling its groundbreaking health management program -- The Prevention Plan™ --nationally online to consumers.
The Prevention Plan™ -- a comprehensive program that measures and tracks an individual’s top risks, then provides live RN support and customized strategies to reduce those risks – is currently being introduced to benefit brokers and employers. Consumers will learn about the program during a major PR and marketing launch this summer and fall.
The online product bolsters the company’s other Prevention Plan services – chronic care management, executive health and the Center for Preventive Medicine – to provide a complete prevention arsenal of tools for individuals and employers.
The program is aimed at curbing the runaway health care spending in the nation by helping individuals understand the current state of their health and what they need to do to maintain or improve their health. "Recently the federal government projected that the average cost of spending per person on health care will be $13,101 by the year 2017 - nearly double the costs in 2006," said Christopher Fey, chairman and CEO of U.S. Preventive Medicine. "Employers are telling us there is nothing like The Prevention Plan in the marketplace and that they are eager for wellness programs that will bring them a real return on investment and help keep their employees healthy and productive. If early demand is any indication, employers are ready to put some muscle into their wellness programs and our timing couldn’t be more perfect."
According to company President Fred Goldstein, great care was taken to design the program to be intuitive and take each person step-by-step through the program.
"One of the most important benefits is the staff of specialists who stand behind the member. Our RNs and customer care representatives provide coaching and advocacy, advising the member about what to do, where to go and how to navigate a confusing health care system. We even let the person know what preventive screenings are paid for in their other benefit programs, such as their health or dental insurance.”
Several educational tools – including a Test Drive program and videos – are available at www.ThePreventionPlan.com. For more sales information, call (866) 713-3415. |
